RNLI Fleetwood – Wreck Trek 2024

Led by Fleetwood RNLI, the guided walk went out to the remains of the Wyre Light. That’s the wooden lighthouse that once guided ships through the River Wyre to dock at Fleetwood.

For many years the RNLI Wreck Trek was a popular annual four mile walk into the bay. It eventually had to end for safety reasons.

It was an easy 3.6 mile walk. Flat sands, great visibility and with RNLI guides who know the sands and tides.

We had 40 minutes at the wreck and then sploshed back again.
