Santa Sprint 2025

I once again find myself wandering around Southport for the benefit of other people.

Get ready to spread some festive cheer — the Santa Sprint is back for 2025, and it’s set to be merrier than ever! Join hundreds of jolly runners, walkers, and little elves as they don their Santa suits and take to the streets in support of Queenscourt Hospice.

It was a wet and cold Sunday in December. Along with hundreds of other (fitter) Santas, dogs and children I found myself walking around Southport on a short route of only 5km (3.1 miles in real money).

Setting a blistering pace of 16:55 I finished the full distance in 57 minutes.
