A good overview of the War using pictures and limited text. Some of the photos were the usual such as the Chinese baby on the train platform in Shanghai and the British soldier caught aiming his rifle at German aircraft just as he is hit by a bullet. There were, however, many I had not seen before. While a British book, it covers all combatants evenly. ( )
