(more)

Entertaining rubbish ! ( )

Erich von Daeniken has a very interesting approach to investigating the origins of the human race (do we come from the outer space?). He is not an educated archaeologist – he is an hotelier with great interest in history of human race, of its origins. He is ready to travel wherever there is something interesting to be seen and not yet fully explained by contemporary science.
He does not claim that what he says is the truth (unlike many people who write these sorts of alternative-history books) - he only raises questions, brings forth very interesting findings (some of which I have not read about anywhere else) and raises even more questions :)

Very, very interesting book. Recommended. ( )

Book description
Many people have scoffed at the idea of beings from another universe visiting Earth. But in 1970 we witnessed the drama of a crippled American spacecraft being brought back to earth. Suppose it had landed on another planet? What would our astronauts teach the inhabitants? What remnants of their efforts to return to Earth would be left behind? How would that planet's inhabitants remember our men in myth and art?

The answers we would give fit exactly the vast number of unexplained mysteries that have been found around the world. Gods From Outer Space is another fascinating examination of a part of our history that has been badly neglected. It will be eagerly read and discussed by the millions of people who enjoyed Erich von Daniken's first international bestseller, Chariots of the Gods?
